Stability, maps and visuals

Patch 1.2 addresses common and critical client and server stability issues, including the crash path triggered by tunnel destruction, replacement or reconnection while a player was travelling through an NVA Tunnel. Every launch map also received a pass across collision, foliage, terrain, LOD, asset placement and environmental polish.

  • Fixed a boot crash that could occur when rapidly clicking the left mouse button.
  • Fixed the NVA Tunnel-related server crash path.
  • Improved PlayStation 5 helicopter movement stability during slow turns.
  • Improved 3D Tactical Map performance.
  • Hundreds of map and environment defects addressed.

UI, HUD, settings and controls

The patch fixes persistent markers, Tactical Map input and binding states, settings persistence and several low-resolution menu problems. A named fix should be tested on the Patch 1.2 build before relying on an older workaround.

  • Custom Tactical Map keybindings display correctly.
  • Duplicate keybinding warnings were added.
  • Inputs can be unbound correctly.
  • Stereo Balance now saves after restart.
  • Closing the 3D Tactical Map with M and Esc no longer causes the documented HUD/input loss.

Vehicles, weapons and online systems

Truck speed increased, helicopter passenger access expanded and multiple vehicle states were corrected. Online fixes include Party Voice Chat, VIP queue logic, missing weapons after deploy and RCON information.

  • Pilots and Logistics Officers can enter helicopters as passengers.
  • Tank Smokescreen now has a two-minute cooldown.
  • M79 receives the intended additional magazines.
  • Party Voice Chat not functioning correctly was fixed.
  • VIP reservations no longer incorrectly affect active and queue slots.

What Patch 1.2 does not close

The Community Update published one day before the patch keeps AMD GPU crashes, lost tutorial completion, robotic Proximity Chat, foliage-related Aim Assist and console image quality in investigation or ongoing-improvement states. Do not convert a broad “stability” bullet into a claim that every crash or disconnect is fixed.

Patch 1.3 target boundary

At publication, Team17 said it was aiming for Patch 1.3 “next week.” Targets included the Killed in Action scoreboard, colon-containing usernames blocking Tutorials or Practice Range, server settings being wiped, KIA-screen voice stutter and Tank Commander sensitivity. The wording is a dated aim, not an exact release date or a live-fix claim.
